The Kettlebell Rock & Oh, Hey Girl! Link-Up!

Do the pretty girl rock…or the kettlebell rock. That’s what was playing through my head the whole time I put this workout together. The kettlebell is awesome for integrating lots of muscle groups, which means a larger calorie burn for you! But you have to be careful to watch your form! It’s easy to injure yourself while using a kettlebell, because the weight hangs down from the handle, your body will have to work harder to control it. So, if you’re not practicing good form and control, you could be asking for trouble. Keep in mind, your neck should stay inline with your spine, your core should always be engaged and your shoulders should stay relaxed, away from your ears. Perform each exercise slow and controlled, pausing between reps. If you don’t have a kettlebell on hand, you can also use a dumbbell for these exercises! Between circuits, I like to do a nice little cardio burst, for me, that means an all out dance fest, but you can also just jog in place, jump rope or even do a few burpees! All in all, this workout should take you about 30 minutes with a nice 10 minute stretch afterward.

I’ve actually never used kettlebells. They would be a good way to switch things up. This looks like a great workout!

That’s perfect! I personally use a 15 and a 7! Both give a great workout and when you have a lighter one you can use it for more moves that include the upper body!

Thank you so much!!! I LOVE them! Especially love that I can wash them. I’ve had so many people ask me how my couches are still white, I’m like because you can wash them!! They’re the best.

I’ve got a kettlebell that has detachable parts to adjust the weight but I have to admit that I don’t use it much. I usually stick to a barbell but I’m going to try some of these exercises 🙂
